🗓️ 2-DAY MOUNT OLOLOKWE ITINERARY

DAY 1: NAIROBI – MOUNT OLOLOKWE – SUMMIT & CAMP

We depart Nairobi early in the morning and travel north towards Samburu County.

After arriving at the Mount Ololokwe area, we meet our local mountain crew and prepare for the hike.

The trek begins with a steady ascent through rugged terrain towards the summit. The trail becomes steeper as we approach the upper sections, but the effort is rewarded with spectacular views over the surrounding Samburu landscape.

Along the way, we may encounter interesting plants, birds and wildlife depending on the season and conditions.

After reaching the summit/viewpoint, we take time to enjoy the scenery, photograph the dramatic landscape and have lunch.

We then continue to our designated campsite.

🌅 Sunset: Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the Samburu plains.

🍽️ Dinner is served at camp before an evening around the campfire.

🥾 Hiking: Approximately 4–6 hours depending on pace and stops.

🌄 DAY 2: SUNRISE HIKE – EXPLORATION – DESCENT – NAIROBI

Wake up early for one of the highlights of the trip — sunrise from Mount Ololokwe.

As the first light appears over the Samburu landscape, the surrounding plains and distant mountains create spectacular views.

After breakfast, we explore more of the mountain and surrounding viewpoints before beginning our descent.

We return to the lower sections, meet our vehicle and begin the journey back towards Nairobi.

🍽️ Lunch can be arranged along the way depending on the group’s schedule.
