Overview
Serengeti National Park covers an extensive area of 14763 sq. km. This is Tanzania’s largest national Park and undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Over three million large game animals inhabit these rolling grasslands, which the Maasai call “Siringet” meaning endless plains.
The Ngorongoro Crater in Northern Tanzania, once a gigantic volcano, is the largest intact caldera in the world; it is an extensive highland area with the famous 600 m deep Ngorongoro Crater.
