Mount Elgon Trek
Overview
The 5 day trek is known as a loop cross border hike and is a flexible trek. The trekking experience starts from Budadiri-Sasa Trail Head and ends at Sipi Trailhead. During this trek, you will encounter
– the magnificence landscape viewings
-4 Elgon peaks i.e. Jackson peak, Mt Mubiyi, Wagagai Peak and Koitobos peak.
-Moorland plants such as Giant Lobelia.
-Walking through primary and secondary forest. You will spot some primates too.
Included/Exclude
. Round Transport from Nrb to Busia (Our own comfortable Private shuttle, either North Rift or Prestige)
. Transport from Busia border to Budadiri (1 and half hrs drive) in a vehicle which will pick us from the border.
. Bodaboda transport to starting point (30min)
. Accomodation in comfy tents and sleeping mats (carry your sleeping bag)
. All 3 meals a day on the mountain
. Accomodation at the hotel after the trip (hot shower and bed and breakfast)
. Porters, chef, guide and all crew fees
. All entry and camping fees in Uganda
. All entry fees, Ranger's fees and handover fees at KWS kenya - Koitobos
. Entry and hiking fees at Sipi falls (3 waterfalls)
