Hell’s Gate Rock Climbing
Overview
If you are looking for a fun day out of Nairobi, jammed pack with adventure, then this is the tour for you. Enjoy rock climbing in Hells Gate National Park, just 1.5 hours from Nairobi.
We will arrive at Hell’s Gate where you will have some refreshments as you listen to a briefing on the day’s activities.
You will spend the rest of the morning climbing on either Fischer’s Tower or Cliffs. There are several different routes of varying difficulty that you will be able to try.
Africa Outdoors Ltd provides all technical climbing equipment. All you need are your personal items. If you have any of your own climbing equipment please let us know so that we can prepare accordingly.
What to Bring. It is likely you will be getting hot, sweaty, muddy, dusty and possibly a bit wet.
We recommend you bring one full change of clothes (including footwear) to cover any eventuality. Also it is a good idea to bring a light rain jacket, sun scream and sun hat. Please protect yourself against the sun with plenty of sun cream, a sun hat, and sun glasses. It is a good idea to wear long clothing if you burn easily. Unfortunately there are no shower facilities at the park, so a packet of wet wipes is a good move for those of you who like to stay clean. Make sure you bring a day bag to carry everything in (rucksack type is ideal) as well as a minimum of 3 liters of water.
